Contracts Engineering Ltd. (CEL) is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Mills as our new Production Manager, effective from April 2024.  Daniel joins CEL with over 15 years of extensive leadership experience in manufacturing and production management, both in the UK and overseas.

Daniel’s career has been marked by significant achievements in operational excellence, strategic planning, and lean manufacturing.  Most recently, he served as a Business Consultant in Brazil, where he provided strategic planning and lean implementation guidance to large clients in the sheet metal fabrication industry.  In one example, his efforts led to a remarkable 30% increase in sales revenue and customer base for one of his clients.

Prior to his consultancy role, Daniel was the Plant Director at Nvent plc, a global leader in industrial manufacturing of steel solutions. At Nvent, Daniel managed multiple business units comprising over 230 employees and drove initiatives that resulted in a 40% reduction in new product introduction lead times and a 20% improvement in on-time delivery.  His leadership in conducting Kaizen events and implementing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on critical equipment yielded substantial cost savings and operational improvements.

Daniel’s tenure at Pentair plc, another global industrial manufacturing company, further highlights his capabilities.  As Plant Manager, he was instrumental in reducing the total recordable incident rate by over 50% and enhancing productivity by over 30% through continuous improvement processes.  His strategic focus and leadership qualities have consistently led to significant improvements in quality, efficiency, and team performance.

We are excited to have Daniel on board, and we are confident that his expertise and leadership will contribute significantly to CEL’s ongoing scale-up and success. Please join us in welcoming Daniel Mills to the CEL family.
