Contracts Engineering Ltd. (CEL) has announced significant changes to its senior leadership team with Troy Barratt stepping up to become CEO and Dave Fisk joining the business as Managing Director. The restructure, which marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the award-winning Sittingbourne, Kent based business, is focused on achieving continued growth to 2028 and beyond.
As CEO, Troy will focus on exploring large corporate development opportunities, driving business development, amplifying expanding marketing efforts, and strengthening CEL’s team-focused company culture. With a background in corporate finance, strategy and engineering Troy has helped lead CEL’s success over the past 10+ years.
Under Troy’s leadership, CEL has rapidly grown to become one of the South East’s largest subcontract manufacturers. Since 2012 it has enjoyed a five-times plus increase in sales with over £1,000,000 invested in the team, plant, automation, and software.
His tenure as managing director has seen CEL:
- Expand its market reach to cover clients across the UK.
- Increase its sales by more than five times.
- Change target markets to OEMs and TIER I companies with factories in the UK.
- Enhance operational efficiencies including switching to a two-shift per day system.
- Invest in the latest robotic technology to transform production and skills.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, learning and continuous improvement.
Dave Fisk joins CEL as its new Managing Director, bringing a wealth of experience in leading high-growth businesses for Trifast PLC including his most recent role as Managing Director for UK & Ireland for subsidiary TR Fastenings Ltd. His career highlights to date includes:
- Significant roles in B2B distribution and manufacturing.
- Managing complex regional and global supply chains.
- Leading team development and integrating acquisitions.
- Chaired Brexit taskforce to mitigate cross border impact resulting in 100% client retention.
- Secured significant client wins including multi-million-pound contracts for automotive vehicle manufacture.
